3D Flash LIDAR (3DFL) is a true solid-state, scanner-less, time of flight (ToF) 3D imaging system that provides real-time, distortion free scene range-distance and intensity maps at video frame rates. As the only true Global Shutter Flash solution on the market, the system illuminates the entire optical field of view with a single laser pulse, and instaneously captures the backscatter illumination with the receiver optics. The distance between the sensor and the scene objects is based on the time difference between the emission of the laser pulse and the detection of the backscatter.
